1) What is BrightMinds all about?
The BrightMinds series is organised for the graduates and final-year students of universities, polytechnics and ITEs. The annual BrightMinds provide an effective and convenient platform for you to reach out to a targeted group of experienced alumni and fresh graduate holders from these tertiary institutions.
2) When are BrightMinds events held?
Each BrightMinds event is planned to coincide with the graduation period of the targeted students to ensure a seamless match.
Polytechnic BrightMinds: 22 Feb - 16 April 2010
University BrightMinds: 5 April - 4 Jun 2010
ITE BrightMinds: 15 Mar - 7 May 2010
3) Who is the target audience?
The primary target will be the graduating cohort and alumni of the respective tertiary institutions. Extensive marketing will be done to reach out to this group, both within campus and beyond.
Polytechnic BrightMinds
Target Audience: NP, NYP, RP, SP and TP
University BrightMinds
Target Audience: NTU, NUS, SMU, UniSIM, Singapore talents from UK, US, Australian and Asian Universities
ITE BrightMinds

4) How popular is BrightMinds amongst the target audience?
Based on the 2008 JobsFactory Employers of Choice Survey of Entry-Level Graduates, BrightMinds was given top billing with 40.2% of the respondents saying it was their favourite job search channel.
BrightMinds was even more popular with top graduates (those with first class, second upper, summa and magna cum laude gradings) with 44.7% citing it as their favourite job search channel.
5) How will participating employers stand to gain from BrightMinds?
Organisations will definitely benefit from this excellent recruitment exercise and branding opportunity.
BrightMinds brings premium employers together onto the same platform. Customised corporate micro-sites, unlimited online job advertisements and extensive multi-channel marketing (within campuses, mass media and via a spectrum of online platforms) further reinforce branding for your organisation.
In addition, you will effectively reach out to a large pool of qualified professionals, fulfilling your company\'s recruitment needs.
6) What is the difference between BrightMinds and other online job portals?
The BrightMinds series caters to specific target audiences - the graduating cohorts and alumni of the respective tertiary institutions. By requiring users to authenticate, exclusivity is guaranteed while untargeted jobseekers are filtered away and unauthorised use is prevented.
Furthermore, unlike other year-long job portals, BrightMinds are periodic online events that enjoy extensive and targeted marketing to the audience just as they are graduating. At this point, searching for a career and further education will be high on the minds of the audience. By providing an avenue to research various job opportunities and prospective employers, the portal serves as an excellent platform for these jobseekers to make the right choice early in their careers.
We believe in multi-pronged approach. Participating organisations also have the option of boosting their branding by having advertisements within dedicated career magazine reaching the targeted groups.
7) How do I check my applicants?
You can receive your résumés in two ways.
You can have the résumés forwarded to an email of your choice (update under "Send Résumés" field) or via the admin module.
For the latter, you can login to view your applicants by first clicking on "View Active Jobs" and then the respective positions to view the applications.
"Views" indicate the number of people who have viewed the job. The applicants will be labelled as "Passed" or "Failed", depending on the filtering criteria you have set.
8) Why have I not been receiving resumes in my email?
When you post a job, check that the field for "Send Résumés" is filled with the right email address.
Also, do note that some mailboxes classify our mails as spam and are thus automatically blocked by the servers. Please seek help from your IT department so that your email servers are set to receive email from us.
9) How long will my listing be on the portal?
The listing will be on the portal throughout the whole period of the BrightMinds event, after which it will expire.
